Jordan went on to work for Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Conn. and Emory Healthcare in Atlanta before changing careers. She earned her license to sell insurance in the state of Georgia, and found a loving work home with the Thomas Dudek State Farm Insurance Agency in Acworth and Woodstock, Ga. She loved her work and excelled at it and went on to earn her license to sell insurance in five additional states.

The family is planning a private memorial at a later date. Jordan had great compassion for animals and leaves behind her adored cat, Tommy, that she loved with all her heart. Jordan had a beautiful smile that could light up a room, a great sense of humor, an amazing zest for life, and tenacity during swimming that was truly something to behold.
