Entertainment lineup incomplete, but coming together at Du Quoin State Fair
There are still some open dates to fill, but the entertainment lineup is beginning to take shape at the Du Quoin State Fair.
And it has a distinct country twang.
Among the performers who have signed on the dotted line to date are: Wynonna Judd, Shenandoah, Restless Heart and Confederate Railroad as featured acts at the grandstand. Additional country acts scheduled to perform are: LANCO, Murphy 500, Red Dirt Band, Whitey Morgan and the 78's, Cody Canada and the Departed, and We Got It Covered.
Wynonna and The Big Noise are slated to appear Sunday, Aug. 25. Tickets range from $14 to $20.
Shenandoah, Restless Heart and Confederate Railroad will take the stage on Tuesday, Aug. 27, again with tickets ranging from $14 to $20.
LANCO, along with Murphy 500 and a group to be determined, is penciled in for Wednesday, Aug. 28. Tickets are $15 to $25.
Whitey Morgan with Cody Canada and the Departed and We Got It Covered will perform Thursday, Aug. 29 with tickets ranging from $15 to $25.
Gospel Night is set for Monday, Aug 26 with Matthew West and Leanna Crawford performing.
Fair Manager Josh Gross said he is still working to finalize deals to fill the open dates. He said last week that he hopes to be able to announce the names of those additional acts this week.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24 with a one-hour presale at the Du Quoin State Fair Box Office beginning at 9 a.m.
The Du Quoin State Fair runs from Aug. 23 through Sept. 2.
