Landscaping at Cohen Complex Sign
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The landscaping includes six Green Velvet Boxwoods and six Hamlin Grass plants positioned around the brick sign. The Boxwoods are positioned in the front of each side of the sign and they should remain small. The Hamlin Grass plants are positioned around each end of the sign. The nursery staff also installed a weed barrier, bark mulch, and fertilized the new plants.
The new Cohen Complex sign was designed by Troy Wilson of Chester and constructed last fall. The original sign was destroyed in the March, 2006 storm which damaged many things at the Cohen Complex. The addition of this decorative landscaping should enhance this lovely sturdy sign. The sign marks the entrance to the recreational complex which offers the popular walking trail, baseball fields, future softball fields, and playground area.
The City of Chester appreciates the planning by the volunteer members of the Chester Park Board to bring about this community improvement. The City of Chester is pleased to maintain and improve facilities for the benefit of all residents.
