<b>Local students named to SIU-E dean's list</b>
Perry County students were named to the dean's list at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville this spring based on excellent academic performance. They are: Olivia G. Cravens and Madeline Skye Halstead of Du Quoin; and Macy A. Epplin, Sydney Eileen Francis, Kelsey Ray Ginn, Madison L. Hutchings, Lauren C. Kania, Kailey M. Lacy, Caulden Lazenby and Jayci Marie Luke of Pinckneyville.
<b>Austin Peay U. honors Elkville student</b>
Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee has recognized Kenneth Porter from Elkville as one of the students named to the dean's list for academic achievement in Spring 2021. Students must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or greater to be honored.
<b>SEMO honors Weisel, Opp for academics</b>
Casey Weisel of Du Quoin and Shania Opp of Tamaroa have been named to both the President's List and the dean's list at Southeast Missouri State University for the spring semester. Students named to the President's List earned at least a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale; while the dean's list requires at least a 3.75 GPA.
<b>Kuhnert, Epplin on Ole Miss honor roll</b>
Two Perry County students are among those named to the University of Mississippi Chancellor's Honor Roll for spring 2021. Haley Rose Kuhnert of Du Quoin and Keely Ann Epplin of Tamaroa earned semester GPAs of 3.75-4.00.
