Steeleville Area Public Library May events

May is Amnesty Month at the Steeleville Area Public Library! Bring in your overdue books and the library will waive the fines.

The library is hiring. Applications are available at the circulation desk.

Here's the library schedule of events:

April 30, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Star Wars Disney Day

Mondays 3-6 p.m.: Every Monday is Game Day. If you are interested in joining in an ongoing Dungeons and Dragons campaign, ask Drake for details.

May 7, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Book sale at the library

May 7, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. : Curbside Crafts

May 16, 7 p.m.: Board meeting

May 18, 3 p.m.: Teen Advisory Board meeting

May 23: Summer reading program registration begins. Pick up your reading logs and info packets all week.

May 25, 4 p.m.: Book club

May 30: Library closed for Memorial Day

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

500 Books: Noah Walls, age 4, son of Robert and Katie Walls of Percy.

600 Books: Mollie Smith, age 1, daughter of Sean and Heather Smith of Wine Hill.
