Barbara 'Bobbi' Adair Jackson of Columbia, Missouri
Barbara "Bobbi" Adair Jackson, 85, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, Missouri with a memorial service at 6 p.m.
Barbara was born on July 2, 1934, the daughter of Harold F. Boatright and Ethel M. (Young) Boatright. She was a woman of deep faith who enjoyed going to church. She enjoyed the beauty of nature - strolling through Shelter Gardens or walking on the Katy Trail. She enjoyed traveling with her Classic Club from her bank.
She volunteered with the Central Missouri Humane Society, played handbells with the senior center and she enjoyed singing with her ukulele group.
She had a heart for those who farm since she worked in agricultural statistics. She was employed by GAF, the company that built the dam that created Lake Barkley. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, "Nana" and pet mom to "Muffin."
Survivors include her daughter, Staci Matney (David Richter) of Fulton, Missouri; granddaughter, Caitlyn Lowe of Columbia, Missouri; sister, Doris (David) Lynn of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Harris and one more, (Ariana) who is joining the family soon; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Central Missouri Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
