Robert C. Gullic of Harrisburg
Robert C. Gullic, 73, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Harrisburg.
Bob had fought a long battle with Parkinson's disease for over 15 years.
Bob was born in McLeansboro on May 2, 1946 to the late Clyde and Anna Aileen (Johnson) Gullic. Bob was an avid horseman who loved showing Tennessee Walking and Racking horses. He had judged the world celebration and many shows over the years. Bob worked for Saraha Coal Co. as an engineer and general manager overseeing the closing of operations and the land reclamation.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1974 as 1st Lieutenant receiving the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
On April 9, 2001 he married the former Jami Sheppard and she survives in Harrisburg.
Also surviving are his children, Nick (Lucienne) Gullic of Lincoln, Nebraska, Katie Gullic of Eldorado, Chase (Robyn) Allen of Harrisburg and Kellen Allen (Drew) Lacey of Louisville, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Ian Allen, Hayden and Hadley Lacey.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Pearcy.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
