Kevin J. Vuichard of Coulterville

Kevin J. Vuichard, age 61, of Coulterville, Illinois, passed away at 1:51 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, IL.

Kevin was born on Aug. 28, 1957 in Red Bud, Illinois, a son to John C. and Barbara C. (Lowe) Vuichard. On June 25, 1983 he married Celeste Levery at St. Boniface Catholic Church, in Evansville, Illinois and she survives.

Kevin worked as a security therapy aide at the Chester Mental Health Center for 20 years and was a former member of the AFSCME Local 424, in Chester, where he served as president and treasurer.

He was of the Christian faith and loved working on classic cars and attending car shows. Kevin was also an avid Cardinal baseball fan.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Celeste Vuichard of Coulterville; two sons, Aaron Vuichard and Austin Vuichard, both of Coulterville; a sister, Denise Vuichard of Ellis Grove, Illinois; other stepbrothers and stepsisters; brother- and sister-in-law, William and Sue Levery of Evansville; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Alvin Grab; half-brother Gary Grab; and his father- and mother-in-law, Les and Elaine Levery.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, at Pyatt Funeral Home in Coulterville, with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 7 and again on from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday prior to the service.
