DHS golf: Lady Indians take 2nd at Pinckneyville; boys finish third at Sparta

The Du Quoin boys and girls' golf teams were both in action Monday, where the Lady Indians took second in a triangular at Pinckneyville and the boys finished third in Sparta.

The Du Quoin girls (222) were edged out by Pinckneyville (199) but finished ahead of Sparta (223).

Aubrey Barwick took medalist honors with a 44. Other scores for Du Quoin were Grace Along (55), Ryleigh Ridgeway (59), Jalynn Wood (65), Claire Rose (66) and Olivia Phillips (69).

On the boys' side, Pinckneyville's Jimmie Reiman took home medalist honors, carding a 41.

Du Quoin was paced by a 45 from Hunter Ridgeway, while Caden Hutchens fired a 46. Garrick Blevins finished with a 48 and Noah Gates rounded out the four person scoring with a 55.

Aiden Bradley (60) and Jace Shupe (71) also competed for Du Quoin.
