Marshall Ray Davis of Du Quoin

Marshall Ray Davis Sr., 65, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:59 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the St. Mary Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Marshall worked in maintenance at Walmart. He was of the Lutheran faith. Marshall enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed fishing, Cardinal baseball, old westerns and NASCAR.

He was born Oct. 25, 1955 at Eldorado, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Betty (Smith) Davis.

He is survived by three children, Tami (Joshua) Williams, Jill Davis and Marshall (Chelsey) Davis Jr., all of Du Quoin; five grandchildren, Aiden Williams, Arianna Williams, Claire Davis, Logan Williams and Gannon Williams, all of Du Quoin; two sisters, Gail Lively of Du Quoin and Robin (Aaron) Hepp of Anna; two brothers, Charles Davis of Du Quoin and Mike (Tracy) Davis of Tamaroa; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including Gabe Lively, Adin Lively and Legend Lenzing.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, Raymond Lively.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to Five Star Industries, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
