Beta Delta welcomes new teachers to Randolph County

First-year teachers hired for this school year in Randolph County are receiving a "Welcome to Teaching" gift from the Beta Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.

Chapter members donated items to fill baskets or tote bags to present to the 18 new first-time teachers in Randolph County schools. The useful containers hold assorted school supplies including note pads, candy, pens, pencils, colored paper, erasers, trays, staplers/removers, bottled water, aspirin, snack bars, hand lotion, chips, markers, magnets, notebooks, stickers and assorted other useful and creative items for the various grade levels.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. The Beta Delta members enjoyed donating to this service project and wish all teachers a successful, safe and healthy school year.

More baskets and bags will be delivered this month to the other first-year teachers in the county.
