Lola Lee Riley of Harrisburg
Lola Lee Riley went to be with the Lord at 4:11 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Lola was born June 22, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond and Helen Davidson. She and her family moved to Carrier Mills when she was 8 years old.
Lola married Charles William Riley on Sept. 17, 1955. They enjoyed selling real estate and owned Riley's Used Furniture in their later years, where her grandchildren spent many happy hours.
She also treasured the years spent as a pastor's wife, pianist and Sunday school teacher. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She was classy … and a bit sassy! She touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
Lola was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three children, daughter Joni (Don) Pulliam of Harrisburg, daughter Connie (Michael) Young of Carbondale and son Charles Steven (Vinita) Riley of Harrisburg.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Tiffany (Jason) Horn of Haubstadt, Indiana; Jordana (Ricky) Scher of College Station, Texas; Nicole (Jeff) Young-Cline of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Candice (Dusty) Newman of Anna; Boston (Adrian) Riley of Harrisburg; Carson (Alyssa) Riley of Harrisburg; and Brooke Reeves of Stonefort.
She was blessed by 16 great-grandchildren: Jaci Paige and Kendon Horn; Holden and Henry Scher, Colton and Capri Cline; Camryn Kelley, Cain Michael Kelley and Dustee Brooke Newman; Reagan, Gavin and Brooklyn Riley; Cayson and Charli Jo Riley; and Mackenzie and Maddox Reeves.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law Terry Rueffer of Anna and Dennis Arnold of Texas; cousins Bill (Judy) Murphy of Carrier Mills; and nephew Tony (Aimee) Arnold of Omaha, Nebraska.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Raymond and Helen Davidson; and two sisters, Nina Rae Arnold and Kasey Davison Rueffer.
Funeral services for Lola Lee Riley will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, where the Rev. Biff Moore will officiate.
Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral, from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Reed Funeral Chapel.
