Jules E. Tritschler, formerly of Du Quoin

Jules E. Tritschler, 70, of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Du Quoin, Illinois, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2021, in the Southern Arizona Veterans Hospital of Tucson.

Jules was born on Oct. 22,1951 in Nuremberg, Germany, and was the eldest of five children born to Kenneth E. and Madeleine J. (Scherer) Tritschler.

Jules was of the Evangelical faith. He was married to Diane M. Dudek of Radom, Illinois.

After enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, he transferred to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, where he served eight years before deciding to end his service. He then went to work for IBM in Tucson.

His love of classic cars and parts began with the 1959 Cadillac convertible that his dad gave him, followed by a 1969 GTO and his 1972 Pontiac Ventura (which he still has). He started his own business, Arizona Desert Specialties, which he ran for almost 50 years selling classics cars and parts to customers around the world, making many friends over the years!

He enjoyed time with his family most. Whether it was for a holiday, birthday, or simply a fun dinner at Red Lobster (he loved clam chowder). Jules spent a lot of time with his son, working together and hunting down classic cars. He loved to watch his grandson play baseball and went to every one of his games.

Jules is survived by his son, Aaron C. Tritschler and his grandson, Austin Tritschler, both of Tucson, Arizona; a brother, Jerry E. (Mary Ruth) Tritschler of Du Quoin; a sister, Lorraine E. Tritschler (Grace Nance) of Marana, Illinois; his partner of 8½ years, Mary Dolciame of Tucson; his two loving dogs, Baby and Bambi, three nephews, Jason Tritschler (Jenn) of Nashville, Illinois, Colin Tritschler (Niki), of Tamaroa, Illinois and Dustin Tritschler (girlfriend Kristin) of Du Quoin; 12 grandnephews and grandnieces in the Du Quoin area; and numerous cousins throughout the United States, France and Germany.

Many lifelong friends from Du Quoin considered Jules their brother, and he was a great friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his baby brother; his father; his brother, John; his niece, Sidnee; and his mother.

Cremation was Jules' choice. Services will be announced at a later date. Jules is dearly loved and will be missed by many!
