Steeleville Area Public Library

The Steeleville Public Library is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

The library has curbside pickup only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call (618) 965-9732 to request materials and pick them up outside the library.

You may also visit https://search.illinoisheartland.org/ to place a hold online and then call to schedule a pickup.

Virtual Story Hours: From 10-11 a.m. the third Saturday of every month.

Children's craft pickup: from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the third Saturday every month; supplies limited.

Back to Books grant

The library has received a grant which will be used to update its large print and audio book collections. We will be working with seniors and those with visual impairments to select new books.

Reading milestones

Congratulations to the following "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten" readers on reaching reading milestones in October and November.

400 books: Addie and Bella Armstrong, daughters of Nick and Jennifer Armstrong of Steeleville.

200 books: Paxton Armstrong, son of Nick and Jennifer Armstrong of Steeleville.
