Joanne 'Jo Jo' Miller of Carrier Mills
Joanne "Jo Jo" E. Miller, 80, of Carrier Mills, Illinois, died on Friday, March 11, 2022 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, officiated by Father Christian Iwuagwu.
Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Monday at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills.
Joanne was born on July 17, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late John and Josephine Mary (Zukauski) Crain.
She married Otto "Danny" Miller on Nov. 29, 1969 and he preceded in death on Feb. 15, 2017.
Joanne was a proofreader for a bank in Chicago for many years until her retirement. She and Danny moved to Carrier Mills in 1992. They loved spending time with their family, particularly their nieces and nephews. They enjoyed each other as husband and wife, along with their dogs, Brandy and then Bailey.
They loved to travel and go camping. JoJo always kept a well-manicured lawn, and loved animals, nature and tinkering in the yard.
She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Chicago. She also attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg, Illinois.
Joanne is survived by two sisters, Loretta (Marvin) Smith of Chicago and Rosalynn (Jerry) Altenbach of Palm Coast, Florida; several nieces and nephews, including Marvin (Brenda) Smith Jr., David (Carlotta) Smith, Scott LaPaglia, Shawna LaPaglia and Matthew LaPaglia; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Joseph Crain; and a sister, Annarose Gogue.
