Chester blood drive nets record 64 pints

The June 17 Chester Memorial Hospital/Red Cross Blood Drive was hosted at the Chester Grade School, where the city set a new record of 64 usable pints of blood collected.

Julie Gustafson, Red Cross account manager, said she is extremely impressed how various community entities came together to help make this drive happen during the COVID-19 pandemic. Special thanks were sent to CGS Principal Bill Grafton, CHS Principal Missy Meyer, Superintendent Brian Pasero and Donna Wolters, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary blood drive coordinator.

The next Chester drive is scheduled for Thursday July 9.
