Millie A. Day of Perryville, Missouri
Millie A. Day, 69, of Perryville, Missouri, passed away at 2:29 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020 at her residence.
She was born to the late William C. and Emma (nee McKenzie) Vickers on June 24, 1951 in Chester, Illinois.
Millie married Ronald D. Day on Oct. 20, 1973 in Chester, Illinois; he survives.
She had worked as a mail clerk verifier for General Council of the Assemblies of God for over 20 years.
Millie attended One Hope Church in Perryville, Missouri.
Along with her husband, Millie is survived by a son, William M. (Jessica) Day of Lee's Summit, Missouri; a daughter, Melinda G. (Joseph) Szabelski, of Sedgewickville, Missouri; two brothers, Milton Vickers of Perryville and Michael (Shirley) Vickers of Hannibal, Missouri; three sisters, Marlene Eckert of Rockwood, Illinois, Marilyn Anderson of Granite City, Illinois and Maida (Dan) Carson, of Ava, Illinois; her mother-in-law, Freda Day of Clinton, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Don (Linda) Day of Republic, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Ed) Catron of Brookline Station, Missouri, Loetta Day of Clinton, Missouri and Elaine (Jeff) Owens, of Bolivar, Missouri; and eight grandchildren.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald Ray Day; five brothers, Marvin, Melvin, Maurice, Millard and Muerl; and three sisters, Marion Frazer, Mary Lou Fricke and Marsha Kirkpatrick.
Services for Millie will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, with the Rev. Thomas Klausing officiating.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Rockwood, Illinois.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 and from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Pechacek Funeral Home is limited to a capacity of 25 people in the building at a time. It is requested that everyone wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
