DMS Baseball Sweeps SWEC Slate

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Du Quoin (Middle School) completed a clean-and dominating-sweep of Junior Southwestern Egyptian Conference (Jr. SWEC) play Tuesday afternoon, belting Nashville (Middle School) 15-0 in four innings.

The Warriors, 14-2, were a perfect 12-0 in loop play and starts Class L Regional action Saturday at Johnston City.

Brenden Fred tossed a three-hitter with five strikeouts to gain the pitching win, improving his mark to 4-1.

At the plate, Fred was 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Camden Youngman, Garrett Dorsey, Austin Mansker and Travis Chapman also had two hit days.

DMS scored four runs in the first inning and then added six more in the second to seal the victory.

In the regional, DMS plays Herrin (noon) at Satuday.

Host Johnston City and West Frankfort start the action in the morning game. Championship play is Monday.
