Du QUOIN'S BACK IN THE FINAL FOUR !

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ A defensive stop- just inches shy from a first down at the Du Quoin 2-yard line, secured the host Indians' 14-10 win over previously undefeated Decatur St. Teresa in Saturday's IHSA Class 3A State Quarterfinals.

Du Quoin, 11-1, advances to face another undefeated foe, top-ranked Columbia, in next week's state semifinals. Columbia eliminated Greenville 40-14 Saturday.

With a 4th down-and-four from the Du Quoin six-yard line, St. Teresa quarterback Danny Walker was stopped inches short of a first down by Colin Jones and Matt Gossett, Less than a minute remained in the game and Du Quoin was able to run out the clock.

The Indians scored on A.J. Hill's 4-yard pass to Cale Bastien in the second period and when Hill banged in from the one early in the last quarter. Nick Baskin booted a pair of extra points.
