Lora Booker Honored

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Perry County Board of Commissioners and elected officials honored outgoing County Commissioner Lora Booker this morning. Fellow Commissioners Bobby Kelly (left) and Jim Epplin (right) presented Mrs. Booker with a plaque and gavel recognizing her service to the County over the past year at the conclusion of a brief meeting to adopt the 2009 County budget. It was the final county board meeting for Mrs. Booker, who has ably filled the seat of her late husband, Jim, for the past year. Newly elected Perry County officials will be sworn into office at 9 a.m. Monday. Commissioner-elect Sam Robb, a Republican, will fill Commissioner Booker's seat on the board.
