Wreck at Pyatt's
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Du Quoin Police Department was called to the intersection of North Washington Street and East Perry Street shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday after a car owned and operated by Jason Wallace of Du Quoin went out of control and flipped over onto the front lawn of the Pyatt Funeral Home. The accident is still under investigation. The driver refused treatment by EMTs. The car was a 1993 Cadillac De Ville and was towed from the scene by Watt's Towing of Du Quoin. The car received major damage. Some landscaping on the front corner of funeral home was damaged. Wallace, 22, was cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene and obstructing a police officer in his investigation.
