Michael Louis Hottes, formerly of Du Quoin

DU QUOIN - Michael Louis Hottes, 41, of Camden, Tennessee, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away on May 26, 2018 at Camden General Hospital.

Michael was a heavy equipment operator at Duck River Refuge for the Department of Interior Federal Fish and Wildlife Service. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was active in the Air Force Reserves. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved cruising on his motorcycle.

He was born Sept. 30, 1976 in Pinckneyville, the son of Louis and Pamela (Thomas) Hottes.

He is survived by his daughters, Kacey Jo Hottes and Sarrah Michelle Hottes, both of Stockton, Missouri; his parents, Louis and Pamela Hottes of West Frankfort; one sister, Melinda (Rick) Bowlin of Elkville; fiancé, Debbie Lee Wright of Camden; nieces Maycee Bowlin, Alexandria Knapp and Kelsey Knapp; nephews Wade Bowlin, Jacob Bowlin and Jamison Knapp; and future children, Brandon (Maria) Wright of Miami, Arthur Jackson Wright, Cleeo Wright, Sebastian Wright, Shelley Christian Wright, Mercedes Wright, and Isabella Wright, all of Camden.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 31 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the U.S. Air Force.
