Chester Post Office lobby closed on Saturday, August 30

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[With many postal customers expected to take advantage of the long Labor Day holiday weekend, the Chester Post Office retail lobby will be closed on Saturday, August 30. However, regular mail delivery for August 30 will be unaffected by the change, including Post Office Box service.

"Historically, there's a significant decline in retail traffic in our Post Office lobbies on the Saturday before a national holiday," said Chester Post Office Acting Postmaster Keni Farris.

"We view this as an opportunity to adjust our staffing to the expected decline in workload, and to give our retail employees more time to spend with their families during the long holiday weekend."

The Chester Post Office will resume regularly scheduled retail lobby hours on Tuesday, September 2.
