CCHS inducts 2024 Hall of Fame class

Carbondale Community High School unveiled its 2024 Hall of Fame Class this past weekend.

Festivities began with a meet-and-greet Friday in the CCHS gym. This year's Hall of Fame inductees were introduced during half time of the football game against Murphysboro.

On Saturday, the Bob Brewer Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet was held at the Carbondale Civic Center to celebrate this year's inductees. They include:

• Ron Darnell, Head Baseball Coach (1978), Head Softball Coach (1995-99), Boy's Golf Coach (1980-83), initiated Girl's Golf at CCHS

Team

• 2004-2005 Boys Basketball, 31-3 record; Jim Miller, Head Coach

• Cathy (Hamilton) Casey, Cross Country/Track, Class of 1993
