Baseball Warriors Steamroll Sparta

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Du Quoin (Middle School) remains undefeated-and unscored upon-through its first three games of the fall baseball season.

Monday afternoon, the Warrior diamond nine ripped host Sparta (Middle School) 16-0 in a contest called after four innings.

DMS, 3-0, visits Murphysboro Tuesday.

"We have gotten good pitching, hitting and fielding these first three games," Warriors coach Tim Craft said. "Hopefully we will continue doing these things well."

Brendan Fred (1-0) pitched 3.2 no-hit innings for DMS, finishing with 10 strikeouts. He allowed just a single and didn't issue a walk.

At the plate, Jonah Spencer was 2-for-3 with six RBI.

Spencer belted a grand slam and two-run triple. Travis Chapman went 3-for-3 and knocked in three more runs.

Spencer Cook tripled.
