Euline B. Kimmel of Marion

Euline B. Kimmel, 98, of Marion, and formerly of Perryville, MO, passed away at 7:43 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018, in Heartland Regional Medical Center of Marion.

Euline and her twin sister, Elaine, were born on Friday, Aug. 8, 1919, in Perryville, MO, the daughters of Gidd and Henrietta (Baundestal) Giesler.

Euline married Gene Kimmel on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1942 and they were blessed with 44 years of marriage before he passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 1984.

The twins operated a beauty shop in Perryville for several years and Euline and Gene were the original owners and operators of Kimmel Auto Supply, serving southern Illinois and Western Kentucky, for more than 45 years.

Euline was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and John Jones of Goreville; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Linda Kimmel of Marion; five grandchildren, Randall Jones, Chris Jones, Angela Winsor, Jerianne (Ben "B.W.") Bruce, and Kellie (Nathan) Reynolds; 11 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Elaine Brewer of Perryville, MO; other extended family, and many friends.

Euline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Alma Thomure, and brother Leroy Giesler.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, March 29 at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home. A funeral mass will follow at noon Thursday with the Rev. Monsignor Thomas Flach presiding.

She will be interred next her husband in Maplewood Cemetery of Marion.
