Dist. 300 School Board Hires Derek Beard for Special Ed Vacancy

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Du Quoin Board of Education met in special session Wednesday to fill key positions in the district's teaching and support staff.

The Board accepted the resignation of Heather Secrease as Du Quoin High School clerical aide.

The board employed Derek Beard, son of Du Quoin High School principal Lybrand Beard, as a Du Quoin Elementary School special education teacher for the 2008-2009 school year.

The Board employed Adam Fornear as Du Quoin High School clerical/instructional aide for the 2008-2009 school year.

The board employed Nancy Keith as Du Quoin Middle School EOC aide for the 2008-2009 school year.

The board employed the following to extra-curricular positions for the 2008-2009 school school year: Du Quoin High School speech team coach - Lisa Coleman; Senior Class Sponsor - Teresa Stacey, and High School assistant volleyball coach - Megan Humphrey.
