Swimming Indians Fourth in SISL
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Qualifying 54 competitors for this weekend's All-Star meet in Millstadt, Du Quoin's Swimming Indians placed fourth at the Southern Illinois Swim League (SISL) championships this past Saturday.
Du Quoin (287) trailed Marion (505), Herrin (445) and Salem (390) in the final team standings. Mt. Vernon (244), Anna (131), host Centralia (90) and Harrisburg (40) completed the final team standings.
In an already-record setting season, the Swim Tribe shattered six more team bests during the event.
Those new standards were set by Olivia Cravens (7-8 50 Freestyle, 45.93); Jerry Kuhnert (11-12 50 Breaststroke, 41.22); Rachel Gomes, Olivia Cravens, Hannah Smith and Alexandria Gossman (7-8 100 Freestyle Relay, 1:30.43); Rachel Gomes, Matilyn Harsy, Olivia Cravens and Hannah Smith (Girls 7-8 100 Medley Relay, 1:46.23); Caleb Harsy, John Galik, Caseton Luthy and Thomas Hamlin (13-14 Freestyle Relay, 2:06.32) and Timmy Mabrey, John Galik, Caleb Harsy and Caseton Luthy (13-14 200 Medley Relay, 2:22.18).
