Debbie Sue McDermott of Stonefort

Debbie Sue McDermott, 63, of Stonefort, Illinois, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, Illinois, and the Rev. Ryan Beck will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Debbie was born on Nov. 12, 1958 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Mack and Dene (Patton) Pulliam. She married John McDermott on Aug. 2, 2016 and he survives.

She managed the popular store GameStop in Marion, Illinois for many years, where she was well known for her big smile, great service to her customers and being an adored leader to her employees. In her retirement she loved cooking for her family and was proud to be back on her family farm.

Debbie is survived by her husband, John McDermott of Stonefort; her mother, Dene Pulliam of Carrier Mills; her daughter, Dana (Scott) Dooley of Harrisburg, Illinois; her son, Noel (Katie) Clore of Harrisburg; stepson Jonathan McDermott of St. Louis; stepdaughter Ashleigh (Marc) Maguet of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Grant and Laikyn Dooley, Lincoln and Porter Maguet, and Chase, Quinn and Cruze Wulkopf; a special niece, Leslie Barger of Delhi, New York; a special nephew, Nathan (Tasha) Barger of Harrisburg; a special aunt, Faye Willie of Kirksey, Kentucky; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mack G. Pulliam; her sister, Maurita Barger; and her stepdaughter, Kimberly Wulkopf.
