Lorraine Siener
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Lorraine R. Siener, 79, of Decatur, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008, at Huffman-Harker Funeral Home, Carbondale, with Rev. Dr. Anette Westermark officiating. The visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery, Cobden, Arrangements in Decatur are being handled by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, Arrangements in Carbondale are handled by Huffman-Harker Funeral Home, Carbondale.
Memorials may be made to Du Quoin Presbyterian Church or donor's choice.
Mrs. Siener was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Cobden, the daughter of Robert Franklin and Marie (Hilton) Wallace. She married Melvin L. Siener March 16, 1949, in Collinsville. Mrs. Siener previously worked at the Du Quoin State Bank and had worked at the SIU Arena for many years, until her retirement as box office manager of the Special Events Ticket Office. She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, and belonged to the P.E.O. Chapter GX. She previously served on the Carbondale City Panhellenic Council, and was formerly involved with the SIU faculty wives club. She was also a member of the Du Quoin Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Siener is survived by her daughter Karen L. Driver and her husband Russell of Decatur; son, Steven Siener and wife Vicki of Hickory, N.C.; sister, Annette Gardiner of Billings, Mont.; niece, Susan Gulledge and husband Michael of Billings, Mont.; great-nephew, Michael Gulledge of Billings, Mont.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin.
