Betty Jane Leek
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Betty Jane Leek, 77, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:50 a.m., Sunday, April 20, 2008 at her home.
Betty has been owner-operator of B.J. Garden Inn in Du Quoin for twenty nine years. She is a member of the Hallidayboro United Methodist Church.
She was born February 8, 1931 at Carbondale, the daughter of Milford A. and Martha K. (Beggs) Morgan.
She is survived by four daughters, Melody Henderson and husband Brian of Du Quoin, Randy Leek of Du Quoin, Carla Terry of Du Quoin, Wallie Harris and husband Gregory of Du Quoin; son, Kent Leek of Du Quoin; five sisters, Mary Hathaway of Hallidayboro, Rosalie Keller of Hallidayboro, Joyce Ellis of Murphysboro, Martha Sue Morgan of Alabama, Brenda Migonis of Chicago; two brothers, Richard Morgan of S.C. and David Morgan of Alton; nine grandchildren, Toni Harper, Tracy Schubert, Thomas Henderson, Douglas Comte, Ryan Pierce, Heather Pierce, Jason Leek, Justin Harris, Mercedes Leek; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles Morgan.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. David Morgan and Bro. Robert Hartsock officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Hallidayboro Cemetery at Hallidayboro.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
