Helen I. Stout

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Helen I. Stout, 88, of Pinckneyville, born Sept. 6, 1919, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008.

She grew up in Ava, the oldest daughter of four children. She graduated from Ava High School in 1936 then attended college at SIU Carbondale before marrying.

She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn A. Stout; her parents, Don and Murtie Williamson; and two brothers, Gale and Glen Williamson.

She is survived by three children, one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne (Hilda) Stout) of Pinckneyville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Faye (Bart) Pedersen of Florence, Mont., Jan (Gar) Wolfe of Rapid City S.D.; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one sister whom she loved and cherished, Mildred (Midge) Vaughn of Pinckneyville.

She lived in Plymouth, Mich.; Chicago; Gautier, Miss.; Rock Springs, Wyo.; Florence, Mont.; and Pinckneyville.

She enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends, reading, playing games, doing word puzzles and watching baseball games on TV. She loved flowers and especially loved watching the hummingbirds in her yard.

She was a strong, loving lady and will forever be remembered in the hearts of the lives she touched.

Visitation was at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to the hour of service. Burial followed at Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
