Joan E. Beasley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Joan E. Beasley, 71, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:29 P.M., Thursday, September 4, 2008 at her residence.

Joan had worked for Du Quoin Community School District #300 for over twenty years. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Du Quoin. She was a member of the church council, a choir member for years and was involved in all church activities.

She was born February 13, 1937 at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of George and Ethel (Coulter) Holland.

She married Theodore C. Beasley on December 28, 1957 at Du Quoin, IL and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, one son - Daniel C. Beasley of Du Quoin, one daughter - Diana S. Kennedy and husband Sean of Florence, KY, four grandchildren - Ethan Beasley and Nathen Beasley, both of Du Quoin, Amanda Kennedy and Neil Kennedy, both of Florence, KY, two brothers - George Holland of Marion, IL, and Arlie Holland of Pinckneyville, and one sister - Brenda Holland of Du Quoin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother - Gene Hagston and one sister - Yvonna Koerber.

Funeral services will be at Noon on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Bill Causer officiating.

Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Per Mrs. Beasley's wishes, funeral services and visitation will be the same day.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the St. John's United Church of Christ and will be accepted at the funeral home.
