Leroy W. Loos

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Leroy W. Loos, age 73 of Belvidere, Illinois passed away on Tuesday afternoon, September 2, 2008 at St. Mary&#237;s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Leroy was born August 19, 1935 in Pinckneyville, Illinois, the son of Otto and Mary (Hoffman) Loos.

He married his high school sweetheart, Juliann E. Martin in Pinckneyville on January 26,1957. Leroy retired from Sundstrand Aerospace on July 1,1991 after 37 years of service, where for many years he was a Supervisor of Assembly. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL, and he served four terms as Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Belvidere Council #735. Survivors include his wife Juliann, his children Mark(Rebecca) Loos Belvidere, Cynthia (Martin) Anyebuno Rockford, Brenda (Mark) Simpson Ocala, FL., Greg (Christine) Loos Rockford, Marshall (Deb) Loos Rockford, and Laura (Andy) Ward Two Rivers, WI. Leroy had a special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren, Rhiannon, Jennifer, Jacquelin, Mason, Andrea, Sean, Ian, Ryan, Christina and Teresa. Step grandchildren, Kim, Tyler and Grant. Step great grandchildren, Garrett and Hannah. Also surviving is his brother Wayne (Martha) Loos of Rockford, sister, Marilyn (Gary) Webster of Pittston Maine, sister-in-law Mary Loos Oakdale, IL. and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald Loos, his son David Loos, granddaughter Rachel Loos and three infant grandchildren Elizabeth Loos, Lourdes Anyebuno, and David Ward.

Mass of Christian burial Monday September 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere with Rev. Brian Geary, Pastor, Officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery in Belvidere.

Visitation Sunday at Belvidere Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with Rosary said at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials to new Horizon Academy for Autistic Children or St. Mary&#237;s Hospital, Rochester, Minn. (Mayo) Unit 5 B.
