Lois Fuqua

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Lois Fuqua, age 95, of Oakdale, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 3:43 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville.

Lois was born on December 19, 1912 in Walker County, Ala., a daughter to William and Willie (Banks) O'Rear. She married Cecil B. Lockhart and he preceded her in death. On November 15, 1947, she married John Fuqua in Oakdale, and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2008 after more than 60 years of marriage. She was a seamstress at Pinckneyville Garment Factory, Pinckneyville, and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Survivors include a son: William (Carole) Lockhart of Washburn, ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son: Wallace Lockhart, Sr., five brothers: Ebb, Banks, Wiley, Osa, and Oscar O'Rear, and four sisters: Tula Kilgore, Lena Barton, Addie Baker, and Blanche Alexander.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Phil Carson officiating. Interment will be in Pilot Knob Cemetery, Oakdale.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
