Loraine Ethel Beck

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Loraine Ethel Beck, age 80, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 10:23 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville.

Loraine was born on May 23, 1928 in Conant, a daughter to Adolph H. and Bertha (Krick) Beck. She was employed in the St. Louis area as the head of payroll at Brown Group International and finished her career at Ralston-Purina. In her lifetime, she was confirmed at and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, a member of the Perry County Jail Museum, and an active member and former board member of the American Thresherman Association.

She is survived by a nephew: Michael (Dona) Beck of St. Mary, Mo., a niece: Marilyn (Glen) Brickhaus of Perryville, Mo., a great-nephew: Nick Beck, two great-nieces: Sasha and Katia Brickhaus, two cousins: Donald Beck and Marjorie Beck both of Pinckneyville, and many, many good friends.

She was preceded by her parents, two brothers: Raymond Beck and Kenneth Beck, and a sister-in-law: Lucille Beck.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, on Saturday, October 25, at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jon Smithley officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conant.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and then on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
