Mary Louise Parker

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Mary Louise Parker, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:38 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.

Louise had worked in Chicago as a bookkeeper for thirty years. She had also worked for several years as a secretary at the Du Quoin State Bank. She was a member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ in Du Quoin. She was also a member of Church Women United and was very active in church. She had been involved with the food pantry and Meals On Wheels. She was a member of the Marshall Browning Hospital Auxiliary.

She was born August 22, 1916 at Christopher, IL, the daughter of Ira Noel and Mary Katherine (Rick) Parker.

She is survived by one brother - Harold Parker of Du Quoin, one sister - Lulu Koerner of Du Quoin, one niece - Jean Heape of Du Quoin, and two nephews - Louis Parker of Simpson, IL and Chuck Koerner of Herrin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister - Elizabeth Parker and one nephew - Donn Parker.

Private family services will be held at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Marshall Browning Hospital Tree of Life and will be accepted at the funeral home.
