Jack E. Russell
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Jack E. Russell, 75, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:21 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2008 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
Jack was a retired wire winder at Phelps Dodge Cable Co. in Du Quoin. He was a member of the Creek Nation Pentecostal Church.
He was born November 1, 1932 at Du Quoin, the son of Claude and Violet (McClanahan) Russell.
Jack married Bernice Halcomb on May 18, 1974 at Bradley, and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one sister- Betty Swallers and husband Bob of Du Quoin and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 5, at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Marvin Boswell officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.
