Katherine Z. Harris
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Katherine Z. Harris, 91, of Tamaroa, passed away at 12:40 A.M., Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Katherine was a homemaker. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening. Nothing made her happier than making a quilt and giving it to someone to enjoy. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ at Tamaroa and had perfect attendance for seventeen years at the church.
She was born February 7, 1917 at Du Bois, IL, the daughter of Frank Joseph and Katherine (Bauer) Zettler.
She married Albert Harris on December 30, 1937 at Pinckneyville, IL and her preceded her in death August 27, 1987.
She is survived by two daughters-Norma Vancil and husband Bill of Du Quoin, and Margaret Dippold and husband Herb of Perryville, MO, three sons- Gary Harris and wife Sabrina and Kenneth Harris and wife Linda both of Du Quoin, and James Harris and wife Becky of Pinckneyville, daughter-in-law- Mary Harris of Tamaroa, brother- John Zettler and wife Fredia of Tamaroa, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Allen Harris, son-in-law- Eugene Richardson, one great grandchild, four sisters- Pauline Workman, Anna Moore, Minnie Moore, and Lizzie Zettler, four brothers- George Zettler, Louie Zettler, Joe Zettler and Peter Zettler.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Randy Allison officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery at Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the Friendship Church of Christ or the Marshall Browning Hospital Tree of Life and will be accepted at the funeral home.
