Martha Malano

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Martha Malano, age 103, of Pinckneyville, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 5:22 p.m. in Pinckneyville Healthcare Center, Pinckneyville.

Martha was born on February 28, 1905 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to John and Caroline (Giorsetto) Malano. Martha was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville. She was a homemaker and loved gardening.

Survivors include a nephew: James (Diana) Stern of Pinckneyville, niece: Angela (Myron) Converse of French Village, Mo., brother-in-law: Joseph Stern of Pinckneyville, three great-nephews: Father Ben Stern of Breese, Tyler Stern of Pinckneyville, and John Converse, of French Village, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: John Malano Jr, Antonio Malano and Nicola Malano, two sisters: Secondena Stern and Angelia Hubler.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Father Ben Stern and Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville.

Friends may call at St. Bruno Catholic Church on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
