Clementine Preston

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clementine Preston, age 95, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 11:10 p.m. in Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor, Mt. Vernon, IL.

Clementine was born on November 11, 1913 in Ava, IL, a daughter to Luther and Leona (Russell) Higgerson. On May 23, 1932, she married Clarence J. Preston and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1979. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Eastern Star, was well known for her cooking, liked to garden and sew. Clementine loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She is survived by one son: Clarence Eugene "Gene" (Marie) of Sparta, IL, one daughter: Linda Huggins of Mt. Vernon, IL, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, one sister: Maxine (Dwight) Ritch of Genesco, IL, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, three sisters and one son-in-law: James Huggins.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim Bauersachs officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
