Ada Oralene Moody

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Ada Oralene Moody, age 76, of Pinckneyville, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 3:01 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville.

Oralene was born on February 15, 1933 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to Oscar and Martha (Kiehn) Bardle. On January 26, 1952, she married Mervin E. Moody at the Pinckneyville Baptist Church and he survives. Oralene was a lifelong resident of Pinckneyville. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her friends and family, playing Skip-Bo and bingo and watching the hummingbirds outside her home.

She is survived by her husband: Mervin Moody of Pinckneyville, two sons: Steven (Carol) Moody and Eugene (Bridget) Moody all of Pinckneyville, one daughter: Nancy (Thomas) Presswood of Du Quoin, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two sisters: Virginia Flannary of Arizona and her twin sister: Fada Darlene Jones of Nashville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Sylvester, Clifford and Alvin Bardle, one sister: Loraine Nixon and one sister who died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Oralene's grandson Justin Moody officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Monday from 5 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
