Lowell H. Hammack

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Lowell H. Hammack, age 71, of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Pinckneyville, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in Gateway Medical Center, Clarksville, Tenn.

Lowell was born on July 24, 1937 in Pinckneyville, a son to Homer and Blanche (Keene) Hammack. On June 20, 1959, he married Norma Jean Phillips in Pinckneyville, and she preceded him in death on August 21, 2001. He was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Clarksville, Tenn., and served in the United States Army in Vietnam and then continued his career in the Army working in communications until his retirement. Lowell loved listening to and singing country music and enjoyed computers.

He is survived by one daughter: Kelly Jean Hammack- Hoagland of Waverly, Tenn., three grandchildren: Kathleen Hoagland of Waverly, Tenn., Kyle Roberge of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and Chelsea Roberge of Waverly, Tenn., and numerous dear niece, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three sisters: Betty Zimmerman, Corabelle Lowery and Glenna Nehrkorn.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Collin Hirsh officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
