Mary Amanda (Mandy) Bowlin

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Mary Amanda (Mandy) Bowlin, 59, of Elkville passed away Sunday evening April 26, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale with her husband and children by her side.

Mandy was born in St. Louis, Mo on July 10, 1949 . His Parents James and Mary Lucas of St. Louis and they survive, and moved to Elkville in 1973. She married Lyle Bowlin formerly of Zeigler on November 11, 1966 in West Frankfort, IL.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years Lyle Dean Bowlin of Elkville, IL, Son and daughter-in-law Rick and Melinda Bowlin of Elkville, daughter Cindy Bowlin of Elkville, IL Special Grandkids Wade Bowlin, Branden Lewis, Seth and Salena Bowlin, Jacob and Maycee Bowlin all of Elkville, IL

Sister Jessie Rose of Elkville, IL, Brother and Sister-in-law Richard and Debbie Walters of St.Louis, Mo.

Mandy enjoyed watching her Children, Grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed bowling, scapbooking and last but not least going to the casinos.

She was employed at Maytag formerly Norge for 27 years until stricken with illness in 2000.

The family would like to send a special thank you to niece Tammy Spinks of Herrin, great niece Crystal Lynn Flora of Carterville, and a great family friend Pam Owens of Elkville for everything they did in the helping of caring for Mandy during her battle for life.

Funeral Services will be Thursday April 30, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher with Derrick Funk officiating. Visitation will be On Wednesday April 29, 2009 after 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mulkeytown cemetery in Mulkeytown, IL.
