Norma L. Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Norma L. Jones, 80, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:50 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.

Norma was a homemaker and had worked in the Secretary of State's office in Springfield. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Du Quoin.

She was born July 18, 1928 at East St. Louis, the daughter of William R. and Marguerite (Lee) Templeton. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Wayne and Adeline Jackson, after her mother died when she was six years old.

She married Carl C. Jones on September 27, 1947 at Coffeen, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1998.

She is survived by two daughters- Christy L. Emery and husband Rex and Cathy L. Youngman and husband Rich, all of Du Quoin, son- Michael W. Jones and wife Tina of Los Angles, Calif., brother- William R. Templeton of Marion, three grandchildren- Lee Emery and wife Shannon of Los Angles, Calif., Aaron Emery of Los Angles, Calif., and Megan Emery of Du Quoin, and great grandson- Rex Andrew Emery of Los Angles, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Gerald Wright officiating.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the Tamaroa Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
