Helen A. Krmitzski

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Helen A. Krmitzski, 87, of Cahokia, passed away at 6:48 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Cahokia Nursing Home.

Mrs. Krmitzski was of the Catholic faith.

She was born May 28, 1922 at DuBois, the daughter of Felix and Mary Anne (Betlejewski) Mierek.

She was united in marriage to Frank Krmitzski on May 31, 1943 at Chicago, and he preceded her in death in March of 1982.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law - Orvena Mierek and Emma Johnston, several nieces and nephews - Dorothy and Leon Torrens, Evelyn and Wayne Jackson, Stan and Lani Mierek, Ron and Betty Mierek, Carol Richardson, Patricia and Kenneth Ray, June Kalish, Mary Ann and Johnny Hagans, Richard and Lisa Wright, Lawrence and Valarie Mierek, Gary and Laurie Mierek, Roman Wilke, Steve Krmitzski, Ed and Ralph Johnston, John and Ray Gant, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers - August, Johnny, Stanley, and Walter Mierek and five sisters - Emily Wisnieski, Theresa Jozwiak, Regina Mueller, Esther Wright, and Cecil Robertson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to Masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
