Robert L. "Fuzz" Allen Sr.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Robert L. "Fuzz" Allen Sr., age 80, of Sesser, passed away July 20, 2009, at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Robert was born September 21, 1928 to Carl Allen Sr. and Ida Mae (Isom) Allen. He was a wholesale lumber dealer and was of Methodist faith.

Survivors include his children, Bobby Allen of Sesser, Dale Allen of Sesser, and Kandace and David Porter of Du Quoin; grandchildren, Greg, Jonathan Kacie Allen, Drew, Chase, Ali Porter, and Kaylee Allen; great-grandchildren, Kelsi and London Allen; and brothers and sisters, Isabelle Walter of Oklahoma City, Okla., Carl Allen Jr. of Sesser, and H.D. Allen of Mt. Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lloyd Allen.

Funeral will be held Thursday, July 23, at 1 p.m. at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser with Pastor Julie Smith officiating.

The body will lie in state at the funeral after 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 22.

Memorials may be sent to the donors favorite charity and will be accepted at the funeral home.
