David Alan Goeke

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[David Alan Goeke, 28, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:15 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 at the home of his mother, Sue Pyron, in Du Quoin.

David was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was born Nov. 28, 1980 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of David M. Goeke and Sue (Dunmyer) Goeke.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather - Sue Pyron and husband Roger of Du Quoin, his father - David M. Goeke of Du Quoin, one daughter - Carly Paige Goeke of Pinckneyville, one brother - Adam Goeke and wife Ashley N. of Du Quoin, one sister - Ashley D. Whiddon of Du Quoin, two half brothers - Steven Goeke of Oklahoma and Michael Goeke of Chester, one half sister - Heather Goeke of Du Quoin, two step sisters - Shea Pyron of St. Louis, Mo. and Chelsey Pyron of Du Quoin, and one step brother - Chad Pyron of Du Quoin.

He was preceded in death by one brother - Jason Michael Goeke.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 24, 2009 at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Keith Filer officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.

Burial was in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.
