Hilda H. Kowalski

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Hilda H. Kowalski 92, of Scheller, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 at the Helia Health Care in Energy.

Hilda was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller.

She was born June 28, 1917 at Scheller, Ill. ,the daughter of Theodore and Verna (Klinger) Witges. Hilda married Andrew Kowalski in 1936 at Scheller, Ill. and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1999.

She is survived by two daughters- Mildred Pearson of South Haven, Miss. and Linda Ferguson of Jackson, Tenn., daughter-in-law- Joan Kowalski of Tamaroa, two sisters- Dorothy McKay of Scheller and Alice Radake of Scheller, two brothers- Leo Witges of Scheller and Charles Witges of Scheller, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Lorene Lopez, two sons- Gerald and Donald Kowalski, one grandchild, two brothers- Richard and Leonard Witges.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller with Fr. Robert Zwilling officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial was in the St. Barbara Cemetery at Scheller.

Friends may make memorials to Masses or the St. Barbara Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
