</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ronald J. Bahl, 70, of Red Bud, Illinois, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his residence.
The son of Joseph F. and Eubia (nee Mills) Bahl, he was born January 25, 1939 in Ridgway, Illinois.
On August 9, 1985 he married Loretta Koester in Chester, Illinois.
Ronald was a Navy Veteran, a Laborer and of the Catholic Faith. He was a member of the Carpenters Local. He was an avid bowler, boater, hunter and pool player and loved to watch Nascar races.
Survivors include his wife of Red Bud, IL; mother, Eubia Bahl of Hazelwood, MO; two brothers-Glenn M. "Bud" Bahl of Evansville, IL and Roger A. (Donna) Bahl of St. Charles, MO; one sister, Ruth Ann (Dave) Brumley of Sparta, IL; one aunt, Eileen Crawford; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law:
Darlene (Bill) Bahr of St. Louis, MO, Pearl Houghton of St. Louis, MO, Omar Koester of Red Bud, IL,
Gloria (Rich) Peterson of St. Louis, MO, Eunice (Ben) Smart of Lindale, GA, Lois Koester of Red Bud, IL, Karen (Paul) Powell of Barnhart, MO, and Mark (Carolyn) Koester of St. Louis, MO; and 50 nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, 1 brother, Carl L. "Corky" Bahl and 1 Brother-in-law, Oliver Koester
It was Ronald's wishes to be cremated. A Memorial Service was held Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud, Illinois
